how do pieces ofnewspaper or whatever help secure them during transit? which they could have survived if packaged properly! do you not understand that it was indeed your fault that the one died and the others arent 100% healthy? IF THEY WERE PACKAGED CORRECTLY THEY WOULD BE FINE.

for years i had a colony of just "stick bugs" that reproduced in population explosions! numbers wise, it should work, but im not sure on nutrition wise.

mantisdude, you are WAY to concernd about being "attacked" by your mantis. Really, it probably will never, ever happen. L1-5 nymphs will just run away if they are scared, and bigger chinese will probably run too, and if not they do a threat display first, singnaling its time to leave them...

biting/striking is really nothing to worry about. Sure it hurts a little, but not that nad, and it happens fairly rarely. As long as your nice to them i doubt they will attack you.
