hey everyone, from what ive read this is what i should do when i get an ooth: 1. wait 2 days after they hatch, drop in a bunch of fruitflies (do that for a week) 2. dont worry about them eating eachother 3. the ones that live after the first week seperate does that sound about right?

my mantis actually drinks from my hand. lol its wierd. i just notice when its crawling on my hand it like bends its head down and touches my palm. so i sprayed some water in my palm and it went to it and drank it. pretty cool, didnt know they would do that

hey everyone, my other mantis (out of 2) has molted today :D my other one (the giant asian) molted on sunday. the weird thing is, the one that molted (the budwing) just ate this morning and this afternoon. which is wierd, becasue i keep hearing/reading that they will stop eating a few days...

so how long until they actually start eating flies? from seeds

yea i have a giant asain too :D (grandis) she just molted like 3 days ago, she almost doubled in size! they do get really big. ive ahd mine since last wednesday

np, thats where i ordered my fruitflies from, and they were great. shipped very fast, and they were great quality. im sure its the same for crickets.

i kind of had this problem too, but this is what i do. take a 2liter bottle, like pepsi, and cut it in half. put in some fruit, i use cantelope, but im sure strawberries, grapes, etc. will work. then put the top into the bottom upside down, so it fits nice and tight. just put the bottle outside...
