    Its a female, you can tell with D.lobata because the shield curves at the bottom, and also you need to look at the segments UNDERNEATH a mantis to sex it.

    Got a colony of 50 of them the other day, fingers crossed i can get them breeding. And here's their set up, thats not how much they've webbed since putting in, i just chucked the webbed twigs from the transport tub in together.

    Finally onto some recent pics now. Onchestus rentzi, got a lot of these at the minute, some sub adult males and some half grown females, plus tonnes of younger nymphs, they are a very variable species. Sub adult males. Young green female. Pre sub adult i think female.

    Sub adult male. Some Hemiplasta falcata, they are all adult now apart from a sub adult female and a 3rd instar nymphs, the rest are all adult males apart from one adult female lol. Male followed by female. Male nymph.
