    Housing Idolos together?

I've never kept the species, but I would reccomend against keeping them communally.

Lacking pigment in one eye after molt?

It is an illusion I believe it's called the pseudopupil effect.

    Last instar?

They have wings they are adults. Deformed wings alone usually don't cause problems as for the legs and what to do, I'm not sure. Since they won't molt again their legs/wings probably won't heal. There are probably some things others on the forum can tell you to help them.

    So disappointed

So glad i saw this post, when I bought my first mantis I almost purchased from this seller.

    Wings!

That doesn't always happen and there are things you can do to help prevent it, but it is still a definite possibility.

Mantis in a box - 6 days without water and food. Help.

I hope this doesn't discourage you from owning any in the future, mismolts are just one of those things that comes with the hobby that no one wants. Sorry to hear the bad news.

Mantis in a box - 6 days without water and food. Help.

Mantids can heal themselves when they molt but from what i understand (depending on the severity of the injury) it can take several molts before it heals completely.

    Huge absence/general questions

Mantids really only live about a year. Giant asians are a good species. Shipping can be pricey, especially if you don't know of any breeders near your state though.
