    Brunner's mantis + stick bug?

Would these two possibly be compatible in a large mesh enclosure? I already have a single annam stick insect in the enclosure. I figure a brunner's mantis might be a good addition since they seek small prey and the stick insect is already 3+ inches long and doesn't move sporadically. Any thoughts?

NEVER USE A BUTTERFLY ENCLOSURE FOR IDOLOMANTIS

I was asleep while she was molting so theres no telling what really happened... but I do believe she was at the very top of the enclosure when she fell. I'm guessing the mesh walls were too fine for her feet to clasp onto, even though she had no trouble climbing/hanging before. Something more...

NEVER USE A BUTTERFLY ENCLOSURE FOR IDOLOMANTIS

Just minutes ago I woke up to my Idolomantis, Iris, mismolted and twitching at the bottom of my butterfly enclosure. She had plenty of sticks around the top to clasp onto but must have molted while holding onto the netted walls, and fell nearly 2 feet to the bottom where she hardened into a...

    Hello from Massachusetts!

Update: Iris is about a month into L5.a little longer than last molt took, which was exactly two weeks. She has developed these darker spots on her knees, arms, and extensions off of her back. Wondering if these are normal? Also, just started feeding her dubia roaches. Not sure if the two are...

    Hello from Massachusetts!

IRIS JUST MOLTED FOR THE FIRST TIME! I wasn't home while it happened but I am so relieved to see it was a success! Still swatting away any food that comes near but I'm hoping she'll get her hunger back soon  :D

    Hello from Massachusetts!

Thanks! I've read those work well for molting as well, I'm trying to figure out how I could attach them to the plastic lid since it's so small. I'm thinking about just stapling some medical gauze to the screen, as I've heard that works well too.

    Hello from Massachusetts!

I've already posted in a couple threads here but I've neglected to introduce myself. Ive always loved mantids as a kid and managed to raise a few I found in the wild growing up. I recently took the plunge at a reptile expo in New Hampshire and bought an idolomantis (unknown instar... I'm...

Opinions on the enclosure for my L2(?) idolomantis

Thanks! I was just reading about adding the branches for molting last night, I figured adding the stick in the middle might help but my mantis hung from it for about 5 minutes before returning to the mesh

Opinions on the enclosure for my L2(?) idolomantis

Hello, This is my first time posting here so excuse my poor etiquette. I got my first idolomantis a little over a week ago, the first few days of which it stayed in the small plastic cup with a mesh lid it came in. I've been messing around with this soup container to make a temporary enclosure...
