Fluid-filled growth on Ghost Mantid's leg

Not my mantis, belongs to one of the members of a Discord server I'm on. Any one know what it is? I've seen the fluid pockets on slightly mismolted wings before but not on legs. You can see the lump on the back right leg.

WTB T elegans, H coronatus, B mendica nymphs

Looking to get some Elegans, Orchid or Thistle nymphs. Any instar, just not adult. Females preferred but I will take males if that's all you have to spare. I live in Belton, Texas.

What happened to the Stenophylla Lobivertex?

The species was briefly offered on a few websites and (understandably so) sold out almost immediately. Are they going to be further circulated in the hobby? Were any breeders successful? I just want to know if there is ever even the possibility of owning a beautiful species like that. I didn't...

    Telling apart Thespidae?

After catching a mantis in Georgia, I had trouble IDing it for weeks. Eventually I thought it was a Thesprotia Graminis based on where I caught it. Later, @yen_saw corrected me and said it was the more common Oligonicella Scudderi, Scudder's Mantis. After moving to Texas, I have caught more...

    Brunner's Stick enclosures

I caught a few wild Brunner's Stick mantids. I might sell a few of the nymphs but I plan on keeping at least 2 for myself. It seems individual to individual they are either ok at climbing glass and plastic or absolutely terrible at it. Currently I'm keeping the nymphs (all L2) in 16 Oz deli cups...

    Spacing/Size of ooths?

Hi y'all, I've had my female Thistle Mantis, Flora, for about 6 weeks now, and she seems very healthy and active. However, she has already laid 3 ooths for me. Her first one came 2 weeks into owning her (I do believe it was her first, because she didn't lay one in transit and unfortunately...

    New Thistle Mantids

Thanks @Jaywo for these beautiful girls. We had quite the scare with delayed postage but everything turned out alright. I'll take good care of them. Definitely my favorite species. First one is Flora, second is Olive. Both are pretty similar, but Olive appears to have a slightly more cream...

Have not been able to find any in the US despite being quite common in the European market. Will take any male or female, sub adult preferred but would take anything past L2.

Heyo, long time mantis enthusiast, recent keeper of foreign species

I've been keeping Mantids since I was little and used to pick up Chinese and Carolina Mantids from my grandfather's farm as a child. Have only recently entered the more official hobby. I got myself a Pseudocreobotra Wahlbergii I named Marky Mark as a sub adult 3 weeks ago now. He had his final...
