    First ever praying mantis hatching

Congrats on the hatch ! I wouldn't say they are 'regular'. i would love to keep chinese mantises!  But here in Australia, we can only keep native species 😞 don't take them for granted 😉 . We have purple wing mantids witch are pretty close, but they are very difficult to find and nobody breeds them.

    Mantis not eating

Hello everyone, My archimantis latistyla has not molted in 6 weeks and I am getting slightly concerned. I know that sometimes a mantis can take 2 months to molt, but she hasn’t eaten in 2 weeks. She is a very, very picky eater and the only thing she eats are torpedo bugs ( I can only find them...

    parthenogenetic?

Ye ik I have heard parthogenesis is also possible with sphodropoda sp, bolbe sp and neomantis sp.(All three Australian species) But is it also possible with Orthodera?

    parthenogenetic?

Hi everyone, I recently caught 2 pre-seub Kongobatha Diademata but they both appear to be female. i have heard that they are parthenogenetic but i wanted to confirm this before spending $60 on a male which may not necessarily be needed. Any help would be appreciated (: Thanks!
