    Has anyone else noticed this?

Hi, it's been a while. My mantises have been doing excellent recently, knock on wood. But I've noticed something interesting. Mantises kept close together molt in sync. For example, one of my p. spurca molted two days ago, and the day after one of my c. apicalis molted. I keep my bugs in this...

This is fascinating advice, thank you. She ended up passing, but I can learn from my mistakes

Choeradodis rhombicollis in heavy premolt for a week?

She's weak, but I was able to hang her up and she could move more than I expected. I'll feed her as soon as I'm back. When I hung her back up she started pumping her abdomen a lot more too.

Choeradodis rhombicollis in heavy premolt for a week?

I *just* misted her. She's normally not that wet. I would hope she's not starving, I didn't try to feed her though due to the premolt thing.. should I do that when I get back home?

Choeradodis rhombicollis in heavy premolt for a week?

Hold on. She just fell. She didn't hit the bottom but she was stuck to the side of her enclosure. I took a closer look at her and something is wrong. I moved her to a smaller cup so if she falls again it won't be fatal. Here's pictures of her current state. (Excuse my messy room I am depressed lol)

Choeradodis rhombicollis in heavy premolt for a week?

Of course all my issues happen with this breeding pair lol. Thank you for all the kind messages on my last post. But anyway, my female c. rhombicollis has been in a molting position for about 7 days. She doesn't move except for pumping her abdomen. I feel like I should do something but I'm not...

Deformed wings, is it too late?

I was pleased to wake up this morning, check on my bugs, and see that my Peruvian shield mantis was molting. Everything went perfectly, except for his wings. They're very deformed. I misted his enclosure the night before, was there anything else I could've done? Is it over, or does he still need...

Dealing With The Death Of A Mantis

I remember my first mantis, a ghost mantis. I had to go to the hospital and I thought she'd be fine while I was gone. When I got back home (about a week later) I found her dead and covered in mold. I ugly sobbed for probably half an hour. It sucks. I've been desensitized over how many deaths...
