    I’ve been told they’re mites they can pick up from feeders and are supposedly harmless. They come off with each moult.

    I love macro and close-up, even though my kit is fairly basic. Taking snaps of my critters is hard work but very rewarding. I try to stack snaps to get a greater depth of field in focus but it’s not always successful as the critters do like moving! Alex

    Mites?

    Hi all, I bought this juvenile Madagascan marbled mantis recently. Are those mites on its head? If so, are they harmful? Could they spread to my other mantids and my spiders? I’ve not seen this before.
