There are quite a few things I'd like on that list... Especially Rhombodera basalis (which I've been looking for for a while).
You should have no problem tracking down some Chinese elsewhere.
I read quite a while ago that some utilize the "sealed container" method (Sealed jar or deli cup without ventilation, no spraying). I was wondering what all of you think about this idea or if you have any better plans for a hatching enclosure you can share with me. My last ooth molted and I'd...
I'm looking for any species of assassin bugs other than orange or white spots.
If you have red spots, US species, or anything else please e-mail me:

I will take ibanez_freak's suggestion. There's no way I would kill a mantis that had any chance of surviving. The idea of hand feeding it didn't cross my mind. Hopefully it can recover after next molt, since I believe that will be its final.
Thanks everyone for the input.
Upon further inspection, this mantis had a terrible molt. His front arms are tangled and he seems to have trouble walking. This is my only male of this species. I don't want to see him starve to death. Should I put him out of his misery?
I just recently had one of my mantises go through a very stressful molt. It now has a piece of molted exoskeleton still attached to its face (right around the eyes). Is it possible for me to remove this with tweezers? It's been like this all day and the situation hasn't gotten any better.
I'm...
I keep all of my larger nymphs in gallon or half gallon size Rubbermaid storage containers. I was wondering if there's a way I can heat several of these containers (only for my more heat-sensitive species) at once besides heating the entire room. I was thinking of maybe placing a few in an empty...
Today I took a look at my B. borealis ooth and noticed fine tiny hairs on it (very few). So I took it out to let it air out/dry a bit. Is the ooth still good or has the mold destroyed the embryos inside?
For most species I use peat, maybe with a little vermiculate mixed in.
I've had no problems with it. For species that don't require alot of humidity (Gongys, Popa) I use ESU Lizard Litter.
Fiberglass screen works really well. I actually use a hot glue gun to attach fiberglass screening to the lids of the clear plastic "jars" that Walmart normally carries as well. This is how I house all of my young invertebrates.
