    might be different for mantid mites, but i know herptilian mites are only black or red. the wee white things are springtails and are 100% harmless Kev :wink:

    hmmm, have to look into it further, but i dont see why it would be impossible to have albino insects. insects have colour pigments too, and albino is just a mutation which interrupts the metabolic pathway which leads to the expression of the pigment. Kev 8)

    yup, become wee flour beetles :) ive found that if you leave the beetlesin the tub they can become a self sustaining breeding colony for a good few months, sometimes they dont however, i havent made any specific attempts to breed them, so i guess even if you dont try it sometimes happens by...

    yeah, my first mantis was lost to a cricket, although this was my dads fault and not mine (i always feed the mantis on my hand) Kev 8)
