well yeah...let me clear it up. I live in NYC but real close to a park/trainyard/cemetary. really. im serious, theyre all connected so I figured if i did it around there, the would have a lot to eat. The park has got a lot of space, and theres trees everywhere. I think itd be ideal for mantids...

question. my mantis just shed and is in the process of drying up. I was wondering if it would be better for me to open the window and get a little cool air in here, or keep a lamp shining on her...to make it about 85 degrees. which way woujld it be easier to assist her in hardening properly.

this is weird, I have a H.Grandis, and its about 2.5 inches or so. Sometimes (even when its not full) the scales on its underside look like theyre opening up and you can kind of see inside...its like a red ooze, looks weird. is this normal? kind of looks like the ooze is coming out for a second...

I have a giant indian mantid and she shed about 2/3 weeks ago. I know the time in between sheds increases each time, and last time took about a month. I know she wont be shedding, but she still doesnt wanna eat. is it possible that maybe she is gnna shed this quick? shes very healthy besides...
