    Only feeding pics

Very nice pics. Nice and sharp, good colors. Please keep on posting them! I'm assuming your camera is a p&S? Your pics would benefit loads if you had some kind of flash diffuser so the light doesn't seem quite so harsh. Try taping a couple layers of white tissue over your flash, and see if...

    Sequence of my emperor molting

Maybe a 350XT? The 300D's are much more reasonable now. You can get a good used one for under $500 with lens. Awesome camera! Have a nice day, Hilly

    Gongylus gongylodes pictures

Thanks for posting the photos. It took me a while to figure out who was who, and what was what, but I finally got it - the pics were pretty dark. Although your photos are really nice and sharp and the colors are superb, but could benefit from a little flash, or stronger lighting of sorts :idea...

Size/amound of food items ang age of mantids

If I were to hatch an ooth, and I got 200 babies, how many ff cultures do you think I would go through until they were capable of eating larger food items? Any ideas on what age this would occur at? I'm not sure how often young mantids molt. Just generally speaking, of course. Hilly

    Any big appetite photos?

I wouldn't want to be eaten by a spider, either. The poison they inject with those fangs liquifies the prey so they can just suck it up. It would be like getting injected with acid or something. Imagine how that would feel! Yep, life is good at the top of the food chain.... Someone...

    Any big appetite photos?

Doesn't bother me in the least to see a mantis eat a bug, but it did bother me to see that mantis chew on that mouse. And I'm still glad people are BIG. So Samzo, what kinds of stuff creep you out? Hilly

    Any big appetite photos?

I'm not afraid of getting attacked by a mantis or any other animal. I just said it creeped me out seeing that video. The way in which a mantis kills (or should I say DOESN'T kill it's prey is what creeps me out). I'm just happy that people are BIG :D Have a nice day. Hilly

    Any big appetite photos?

I guess it was the visciousness of the mantises attack on the mouse. It really creeped me out :( I also have a few more thoughts on this, but won't post them here. Have a nice day. Hilly

    Macro photography

I really enjoy macro photography! I like looking at macros, and I like taking macros! I have a Canon 300D and I use a 420EX speedlight, and a Sigma 105mm macro lens. My macro gallery can be seen here: http://www.pbase.com/justpeachy/macro_shots Can't wait to get a few mantids so I can add...

    Feeding nymphs?

This is probably compairing apples to oranges, but take for example a crocodile nest: If the temps inside the nest are above a certain temp, you get only one gender of babies. If the temp goes below a certain point inside the nest, you get babies of only the opposite gender. I don't see why...
