    Spring...M. religiosa

what I did was randomly choose out the nymphs I'm going keep (6) and put each one in their own little container with a few fruit flies, then I released the rest outside since obviously I can't raise all of them. If you leave them all in one container none will survive for long, all the ones...

I've noticed the same with my nymphs, they fall on their backs and thrash around crazily. seems to wear off after a few days though.

    Spring...M. religiosa

None of my 3 oothecas went through a diapause but they all hatched out normally. I keep them at 77 degrees and mist them when the substrate is dry, which seems fine for them

Good luck on them! They aren't hard to take care of, I have some L3's, if you can get them past their first molt they are pretty hardy mantids. Mine turn out yellow after their first shed :) At L1 they can take on D. Hydeis, let us know if you need any info on raising this species.

    my nymphs are growing

Most nymphs are active and move around a lot; don't worry bout the little one there's nothing wrong with it.

    Need help to id

maybe a giant asian/african? I don't know what the nymphs of them look like but the ootheca looks like it could be. I think a picture of the ootheca (possibly from the side) would help to identify them.

    Anyone else have this problem?

Maybe it's old age? Mantids can lose the tips of their feet when they 're old and if it's laying many ootheca the last ones may come out deformed.

    Alive! There alive! There alive!

what type of mantis are they? You can start feeding them a day after they are born, with fruit flies. You can mist them but be careful to do it only once or twice so they can drink, if you do it to much they will get stuck to the water droplets on the walls and they will drown.
