    oh and another one, did it have UV or not and what strength UV? also slightly more disturbing is if you still have it about, im not sure when this thread started, but look for a possible discolouration on the underbelly of the animal, this can be indicative of organ failure if any occoured...

    i too bought some nymphs... also like to say that theywere well packaged and all arrived very healthy, not to mention that he waited patiently while i struggled to get *blanking* paypal set up... many regards, wouldn't hesitate to use this happy chappy again! Lex

    dead leaf mantids

    now have an adult pair, female about a week old and the male about two and a half, now if anyone would like to give any helpful hints that would be most appriciated :D

    Moths shiver. but thats cos many of them are nocternal and they are pikilotherms and as there isn't a huge amount of ambient thermal energy at night they shiver to raise their body temperature to increase their metabolic rate so they can sustain flight! but mantids on the other hand, don't see...

    as far as my knowledge takes me inbreeding becomes less and less of a problem the fewer genes an organism posses, so for a human inbreeding occurs quickly whereas for reptiles like cresties it takes about 50 generations (or so im told) so for insects i would assume that inbreeding would become...
