I just found one of our Idolo's dead. He was hanging upside down, and i thought he was going through a rough molt, so i sprayed him, but he was already dead and fell down. I really have no clue what happened here. Have any of you seen this before?

Molted into adult last night.

Today 2 of our females molted into L7 and they are huge Here is a head-shot of one of them, it's female, right? One of the L6 (male?), felt intimidated by them and started to threaten.

Pseudocreobotra wahlbergii, adult male. Idolomantis diabolica L6

Our female Pseudocreobotra wahlbergii molted into adult. We have 2 sub adult males, hopefully they will mold within a few weeks.

Yesterday our female molted into adult. She looks goregous! We made a quick picture with our mobile.

We got ourselves some new mantids at the Hamm show. We bought 2 sub adult P. wahlbergii males and 1 sub adult orchid male. Also we bought 2 Phyllocrania paradoxa, or Ghost mantid.

Our female molted to L5 last night. To bad we didn't see her molt. We miss it every time... She looks amazing and it keeps surprising me how much they grow each molt.

Our male molted into adult Saturday, he looks great! To bad our female just molted into Sub-adult.. We kept him at low temps, with less food and 1 drop of water a day, and he still grew faster. He was one instar lower than she when we bought them. Hope he will live long enough to be bred to...

We hope someone can help us with telling at which instar our Pseudocreobotra wahlbergii female is.

This will be the viv the idolomantis will be living in from Sunday or so. We hope they like it. We will put the 3 L4 animals we have in there together. The rest are just L3 and a bit smaller.

They were supposed to arrive on Wednesday, but due to some unknown problems they arrived today.... We were afraid they would all be dead, but 10 out of 12 made it alive. We have 1.1 L4 and 10 unsexed L3. L4 male: L4 female: We will make more pictures in the morning.

We finished the females new viv a week ago. Does it look okay? We were thinking of making about the same enclosures for our P. wahlbergii and idolo's when adult. Would that be suitable for them? Of course we would keep it less humid with the idolo's and the wahlbergii... The others we have...
