    The black spot??!!

    Took him out and it was only that big from gravity.. it looked like chocolate body paint dripping down his face... but he was trying to clean it off. Do they produce secretions of any kind from their head??

    I came home today to find a black spot/growth or something between my mantids antenna (See picture) :S! He seems to be cleaning ok, like he normally does. Anyone have any idea what I can do/is this a problem?? Any help appreciated!!!!

    I can't actually see a purple flash. As I say, I was sold him as a Chamaeleon Village and someone on here said he was a purple flash.. although I cant see any evidence of this..?? (I am new to mantids so maybe I am looking in the wrong place?

    PhilinYuma: Yes I live in London at the moment, originally from Scotland though. My camera isn't brilliant, but I tried to get some pictures of him (don't do the wee guy any justice though!!). Any idea how to put images into a post? Can't see anything obvious!
