I set a goal in September 2013, to take better macro shots now I think I have improved a lot, im satisfied overall :) there is still a long way to go , hope i can get rid of simple black background and do some really great photos in the new year HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL :D

I decided to make a giant house for empusa pennatas as they will be ready to mate in a week. There is a lot of fun when you try to make your own enclosure, the experience is the most important part. I purchased stuff from hardware shop, actually there were 4 wood strips not shown in the photo...

I was trying to sex them when they were at L1 stage, able to see the difference but are just too difficult to sex. after they turned to L2, the difference can be clearly seen Female: Male: correct me if im wrong also here are some of the photos

for live mantis, pm with offer, im doing photography while breeding them, so pairs are preferred. also i have started specimen collection, so if you have old or dead mantis that with " complete body" and would like to help, pm me :) for old mantis, i will not kill them because i will also do...
