i now have two kids who are also bug mad so i think its time to have some more and as the weather in the uk is now warming up , posting mantids shouldn`t be a problem

hello again , i`m not a new member just one that is now returning
after a fire in my "bug house" ( total distruction)and eeing slightly disheartened and my wife and i having 2 kid, i`m now getting back into keeping,
new bug house is ready
all i need now is some residents if any one has any...
the poll is a light hearted look as to why the female ate the males head, was it during copulation and in the heat of the moment,or, was it a disagrement that ended badly ,or , was it just a BAD DAY to be a male .....
i`ed put my pair of polyspilotta aeruginosa`s together as they bpth reached adulthood 3 weeks ago, was watching them all last night as they seemed interested in each other ( they had been together foe a week and had shown no interest before)
any way i fell asleep for a couple of hours and when...
still got 200 + that are eating fruit flys very quickly and are looking good i`m also spraying every day sometimes twice depends on how hot the house as my wife is expecting our first and is feeling the cold,a warm enviroment keeps the nymphs active though
look at the size of your nymph if the "feild cricket" is bigger it aint gonner fit, i only feed fruit flys and micro/pinhead crickets to my nymphs, as to feeding by hand.... good luck ........ i`ve never had a lot of sucsess with this method and have onlt tryed it with full grown or sub adut...
