I keep seeing reference to "gutloading" a crickit or mantis. Im a little new, so im not to sure what this means. i also see feeding pics that look as if the feeder animal has been covered in somthing, is this gut load? What is the substance on these feeders, what are the benefits of this?

Anyone know a good online breeder with healthy clean crickits? I read some post about bad crickits and would rather not take any chances.

My orchids just molted to l3(i think) and the fruit flys i was cultering for them are looking a little small for them, should i continue feeding them a large amount of these suckers are they big enough for them to catch, or do i need to move on to real flys? rlly dont wont to have to raise flys...

One of my l2 or l3 orchids just molted on the ground while i was at work! (it was in the tank i put a strip of paper towle in so she could climb up just in case she fell during moltin! :( )one of his sibling also molted but did it the right way. is there a chance she fell and finished molting...

After getting some advice from the forums, I was trying to pick up some spaghum moss for my orchids, because the current moss i have in there is not getting me over 60%humidity. However I could not locate any at the pet stores I went to. In the end I settled on this moss with the generic brand...

Can anyone tell me the averge life span of a Hymenopus coronatus(Orchid Mantis)? Also I have heard these can be kept communally. Has anyone tried this with any success? Any input will be greatly appreciated.
