We found this mantis in October, and now it just laid eggs. I have no idea what to do! Please help.

We actually live in the Pacific Northwest, pretty cold out. We found it outside trying to fight off a blue bird that was after it. Here's some pics, does anyone know what kind it is? Someone told me it was pregnant.
