    culturing Pseudocreobotra wahlbergii

yeah had to do lots of school work and stuff, didn't really have much time left, otherwise doing fine ^^, how about you? And this one is going to be for my snake ^^ it's a 80/40/40 terra, still a bit big now.

    culturing Pseudocreobotra wahlbergii

Thought I'd update u now that the Terra is almost complete, took a good 2 weeks to finish since I didn't buy all the products at once. Probably a few 6 hours of work in total, but really glad about the result. I just need to put 1-2 plants in there, thinking about an orchid or something.. In...

Turning a brown ghost into a greeen

It happens, not always but sometimes, my brown and black ones have also gotten a greenish color, and will probably be green entirely by L7.

Yeah, it's gonna be the first time I'm decorating a desert terra, but I'm gonna try to make the best of it! Good luck by the way! And thank you ^^

Thank you! ^^ and yeah I've thought of that also, but that is indeed quite the work. I'm not that good in working with glass and stuff though, still learning a lot about building stuff. :)

    culturing Pseudocreobotra wahlbergii

I bought him for €35, so he's really not that expensive, I'm guessing he's about half a year old. I had a friend who keeps snakes and he told me he should be between half a year and 1 year old. He's really curious and likes to crawl on my hand. The enclosure I have is only temporary since I...

xD yeah, it's just a little box so no one sees it really. I have some pics too, his name (my gf chose it) is turtle

mice, like the smallest ones I could find, it's actually so much easier than keeping mantids! You take one out of the freezer and feed that once in a week xD

it's a cool starter, males only get to about 60-80cm, so they don't need that much space.

Well I didn't find any nice mantis species, but I was so tempted to try something new, so I bought an olive house snake. Very fun creature, my gf didn't like him at first but she's already used to him xD

Hmm, I'm going to an event sunday with different reptiles and insects. I'll see what species I pick up then ^^, still figuring out to design the terra

too bad, I like the species, but to have only 1 in a terrarium that large would be a waste of space..

    Mantids disapearing

Ghosts, violins, dead leaf and idolomantis diabolica are known to be able to live in cultures as far as my research goes.

    Welcome home mantids!

Thank you! ^^ and in the beginning I put some beetles in there too, but as soon as I saw the damage on the leaf, I took them out at once. And yeah the hygrolon is quite nice, as far as I see there is moisture everywhere. I'm keeping a rather dry period right now because it got a bit too wet and...

    Welcome home mantids!

I send them to my own profile through facebook, then download them and upload them here again :P

    Welcome home mantids!

Yeah, the top moss is growing yellow though, I've been thinking of putting aluminium foil over the top part so the light doesn't touch it.  The other missing ghost still hasn't returned, I think she might be dead. And it's actually shot with my cell phone, a Huawei P9 lite, the little thing...

    First Of Many (Ideas)

I have only kept ghosts so far, they are a very beautiful species, but if you are looking for an active species, these are not fit for your desires. They are a quiet type of mantis that is beautiful to watch, they will often sit days in the same spot, very well camouflaged, only to move when a...

    Welcome home mantids!

I'm taking a picture everyday right now, this is the one from today. As you can see the plant in the left corner has grown quite a lot, it has also made a lot of new roots in the moss, so progress is really clear. The orchid also grows really well, and you can literally follow the growth day by...

    Hierodula Membranacea or Sphodromantis lineola
