3 antennae mantis

This guy has 3 antennae! He just shed and all 3 are still there! Perhaps too much inbreeding? PS. I am faded a.k.a. drunk =)

I remember that discussion, Paul! Wasn't the concensus that the "extra" antenna was from the old skin and had gotten stuck to the mantid's new skin while it was moulting? Did it ever molt again?

no the mantis that had the extra antenna died because it could not relief itself and my guess it died of backup of waste in its body
