Cute! He is so tiny! What made you not want to get this species? He is adorable!

That's just what I call the "nursery". It sits on my kitchen windowsill so I can observe frequently... too frequently! ? I just like to observe to make sure it's eating and pooping. The small size makes it easier for the nymph to catch dinner. You can see its 2 flies I popped in for dinner. He ate one and killed the other. There's usually a magnifying glass there as well. I'd like to believe all the activity in that area gets nymphs accustomed to being close to humans, yet also safe. This seems to work for me.
That is cute! Does it have good enough ventilation? Also, there is no 'observing TOO frequently' with mantids!

:)  I am homeschooled, so I can do school with a mantis on my book or pencil. I love having mantids in a spot where I can watch them all day.

Me too, for sure! When my Brunner's is old enough, I am going to put a large potted plant in my room, and let her live on that. :)
