So I took my Venus Fly Trap out of my fridge last week and today I decided to put it in a terrarium. My old terrarium broke because I dropped it. (I am a klutz, its a proven science) I was looking for an empty cage to put it in and came across an egg! Here is a pic for those of you who are confused

Here it is. Last night it ate a waxworm

Here is a view from the top. Let me know what you guys think

Hopefully these pictures load for you guys, please ignore the tag that says Gony Terrarium

Thanks

Neat! How big is the egg terrarium? I have one like this but it's smallish.

Its about 10 inches. A little small for the pot but I think it is fine. ;)

I REALLY hope it flowers. The last one I had didnt overwinter to well and eventually died but it did flower and I really loved it. :)

I'll have to look for something like that next Easter for my flytrap. Too bad I couldn't get a giant one for my Nepenthes pitcher plant. It ain't doin' so well. mainly because I accidentally baked it in a closed tote in the full sunlight. (Yes - I'm more careful with my mantids...)

Lil update. It flowered last year but I cut it down so more energy could go to the traps instead of the flowers

Good job cutting down the flower - that's what you're supposed to do :)

How much light is it getting? If you want it more red color give it more light ;)
