About those funky black abdomen lines

Yeah I’ve been posting a ton lately, but!! I just love my mantid boy and I love this community

I fed my mantid today and you know those black lines on a mantid’s abdomen? Well, on my boy, they’re more pinkish-red. I panicked for a bit, but I realized he’s still acting completely like himself and has been for the time I’ve had him. It’s been a good amount of time now and he’s still completely normal, so I think it’s just a little quirk with him that comes with how pale he is. 
Have any of y’all had pale mantids and noticed stuff like that? Or is it just my boy?

Just a few days ago he was digesting stuff so quickly I talked about him not gaining weight, now he’s a chubby boy. A finicky little lad, I gotta say!
