This one has been way overdue. We caught a sexed pair on our Tapah Hills hunt last November. Paired them up in our hotel room and they laid us some ooths when we got back home. One of it hatched out a couple nymphs late December last year. The species is not yet confirmed but some of our German friends said it could be A. gestri. We got an IGM number for this one as we're planning to breed them for some time.

Apologies, some of the photo are of ###### quality.

They're very hardy and easy to care for.

Thanks for sharing the pics Shaik. I like any species of this genus, this mantis is really under-rated, very pretty, although they don't get very big. I have kept A. formosana, A. japonica, and A. magna. I will pm you for this one :)

You're right Yen, they're very underrated. I think they're one of the best and easiest mantids to rear and breed. They're like a prettier version of Odontomantis sp. lol.

Nice species, Shaik. ;) I thought it rather funny that you paired them up in your hotel room. Maybe that would help others who are having troubles with the mating.
LOL Becky! Yeah my brother couldn't wait so he paired them up as soon as we got back to the hotel lol. The only thing missing was some smooth jazz lol.

Nice. Thanks for sharing. I like their wings.
