This video was shot the day after she molted, I thought it would be interesting to have this to compare with one taken in a couple of weeks when she gets her DayGlo colors. Already she's a very different color than she is in the video, a faint olive green with a strong light purple cast to the dark markings and wing margins.

The 720p quality setting gives the best images.

[Edit video v.2 -- Improved brightness and contrast, re-ordered the clips (and deleted a couple).]

So beautiful!

Looking forward to seeing her all colored in!

Very nice, she is lovely. Also congrats on the successful molt :D

After showing my wife and saying look at this Idolo video she asks, "Is that your new bug?".

Even after I just talked to her about mine are a Deadleaf mantis not even 15 minutes before.

Hehe Yeah, sounds all too familiar!

Lovely lady!
Thanks so much everyone! She made me very happy when she turned out so perfectly. :D

My God she is one gorgeous girl! Excellent job on the video and your success with them!I can't wait til she colors up!

Congratulations - great looking female. Your video is really good, and is extremely well done - pleasure to watch!
Thank you randa, very kind of you!

I love the tan and brown tones. Too bad some don't stay that way.
Wow sticky, I'm surprised to hear someone agreeing with me on that! ;) It almost feels like Idolo heresy to say so, but now that her colors appear to have reached their peak I must be honest and say that she's lost some of her charm ... I'm not seeing anything like the color variety which my male had, virtually no purples or blues, almost entirely a green which looks very nice until it gets dark, resulting in a look which I could perhaps best describe as crusty.

Well, in any case still a magnificent insect! I've been told however that it's not uncommon for the males to take the prize on their coloration.

To me she was the most beautiful during the first couple of days following the molt -- displaying those wonderful tan hues as in the video, then by the next day this lovely and delicate soft green.

Thanks Matt! I was so looking forward to seeing her colors peak, but I have to say they're something of a disappointment. Still beautiful to be sure but nothing like her spectacular brother was.

You're welcome! I love tans, browns and greys. I am a handspinner and natural colors like those are favourites.
