I did a search and didn't find anything.

I recently ordered an ooth from drizzt. It came tightly wrapped with paper towel in a small container. The paper towel was blotched with blue and red that didn't look like a decoration. What worries me is the blue mold growing on the base of the ooth where it is attached to part of a stick it was sent with. Looking closer I also noticed some small yellow dots on the surface of the ooth, probably some yellow mold spore? I scraped most of the spore off, but it might have already grown into the ooth. There wasn't much of this spore on the ooth, but it still worries me. Right now I am keeping the ooth dry, so the mold won't spread.

Does mold affect the ooth in the amount? How does it attack/kill the eggs?

I read in one of Becky's posts that every ooth she had with mold never hatched, so fingers crossed for this one...

whit some phasmid eggs it happent, they also dindt hatch i think it,s poisonus for the eggs whithin ....sorry to say that bud i think it doesnt hatch...(or you get some nasty mutated mantids :p )

When the ooth mold, that means excess humidity, so much that it allows mold to grow on the ooth. I never have luck on molding ooth, especially those long and thin type like ghost mantis or spiny flower ooth, but for large ooth with plenty of foam protection, remove the mold and hope for the best, there might still be a chance. Just leave the ooth in a well ventilated container and do not spray again.
