Hi Guys,

How soon after an african budwing becomes fully adult can he or she be mated? Is it different from male to female?

I ask becuase I have two adult femals - one about a little over a week into adulthood, the other just a few days...and one male a little over two weeks into adulthood.

Thanks!

This species grow pretty fast. The culture i kept last year matured in less than 3 months. You can try to mate them as soon as 2 weeks after they achieved adult stage. Male usually matured faster than female with one less moult. Here is one of my old pic of this species
