african mantid nynph molting!.... i think

he/she started walking slower than usual and is now upside down on the container lid with an arched back,twitching slightly every few seconds.

Sounds like he's about to moult

You will probably end up doing what I do spend ages watching and waiting for him to moult, but it doesn't happen.

Then you go to sleep, wake up and he's moulted Well that's what normally happens to me.

I feed them at least 24 hours after they molt.

They won't eat for a while after their moult. I feed them about 2 days afterward, sometimes sooner.

I guess I'm the only one who feeds mantises the same day they molt. If they molt in the morning, I give them food and they take it the same night. However, this doesn't work if they molt into adult because they don't eat for much longer.

Something may have disturbed him. Lets hope he will molt soon...
