Okay, so I mated my female chinese females a couple of weeks ago. And they've been eating like crazy, but they haven't really been retaining the weight (losing it after a couple of days and eat again). I no longer have the males I mated them with. Is it possible they weren't fertilized? And to top it off, I think I saw one of them "calling" or releasing pheromones in the morning. I've seen this species do it before, But I wasn't sure if I caught her in the act. Even if she was, does this mean she wasn't fertilized? Thanks.

Btw, never mated this species before, so when it comes to T. sinensis, I don't anything.

No, are u feeding everyday? feed moms everyday. they always have eggs, in your case they should be fertile, so don't worry about the weight, they will lay soon.

Sometimes what looks like calling is actually the female going through the motion of laying an ooth.

Thanks for the reassurance guys. No ooth yet, but I do continue to feed them. All three are definitely calling, I saw them early this morning when I woke up. It's just a waiting game now. So much different than I. oratoria.

How long was the matings? If you saw mating you should be good to go. Feed them daily as much as they will eat.
