Hi there Guy's and Gal's

I ordered a couple of items at Mantis Place got them about 3 weeks ago and with those items i ordered a Cup-O-Mantis, now after 3 weeks they have hatched and i got so nervous i didn't know what to do and it was time to go to work and i left my little baby running around in a container i made from an old bottle of Quaker Oats, and put a screen om the front and it has the top of the Cup-O-Mantis on the top.

I have just receive my book of Praying Mantis "Keeping Aliens".

But i didn't get a chance to finish reading it, and i'm so nervous now could you guy's please give me some fast advice on what to to when i get home?

SPECIAL THANKS TO Hibiscusmile and Peter.

AND EVERYBODY ELSE FOR THERE ADVICE!!!

Temp is good humidity is good.

Should i feed them?

Should i mist them, with room temp. water or warm water?

Is there something else i should do to care for them?

REALLY NEED THE INFO GUY'S

P.S. i should post some pic's tonight.

Best regards

what type of mantis are they?

You can start feeding them a day after they are born, with fruit flies.

You can mist them but be careful to do it only once or twice so they can drink, if you do it to much they will get stuck to the water droplets on the walls and they will drown.

I think they are Chinese Mantids.

i am now going to put them in a bigger cage(Pine sol Bottle) i have a little FF culture i have resonantly seen some FF larvae on and in the FF medium i made. Special thanks to Mikhail's Mixture.

So i think i'll be misting them when i get home today and feed them the FF tomorrow and leave the larvae in the culture to see if they will hatch soon for me to have more food for my little baby's.

I'll be posting some pic's later today.

Thanks in advance

best to buy a plastic fish tank thats hexagon or round shaped and put mesh or some kind of screen over the top or get a three gallon fish tank maybe and use that for the nymphs if you get a hexagon fish tank you may need to make another hole for a feeding port as well!

Oh my, don't use a pine sol bottle, the plastic will absorb odor and oils that u cannot wash out and it wil kill them, the oat box u have is fine, leave them in it till u get something else. U can even use the box I shipped them in, just put a screen over the top of a fine curtain cloth and secure with a rubber band or tape..... then just mist them once in am and once in pm, the chinese like water and as nymphs they need it to help swallow those dry flies
