Consuming a bit of maggot (they can be hand-fed - or, well, needle-fed).

The female above, I had pinched her between my fingers, bad idea, she pierced me with her proboscis (sucking-piercing mouthpart). They have a sack of "venom" at the end of it, and yeah, it does sting. Feels worse than a shot, but not as bad as a bee sting. I hadn't expected it.

These guys can take down hornets, wasps and bees. They actually stay on flowers and wait for them.
