Last night Elinor laid another ooth. there is no way this one can be fertile can it? we have had her in captivity for about three weeks and she hasn't been with a male in that time. In the first week we had her she looked huge and then she laid the first two so it made sense to me. But this one is really random.... is it possible that this one is fertile too?

Also on another note my brother in law got really great video of her laying it. as soon as i get it ill post it.

yes she is wild caught and she was pregers when we first got her. she laid two ooths in the first week. two weeks later she put down another. i dont see how this one could be fertile.. i thought that they laid the ooth just a few days after they mated?

She is wild caught right? If so, there is a good chance she was fertilized by a wild male

Females just need to be mated once to produce fertile ooths. That means all the ooths she will lay may be fertile.

They will lay ooths whenever the eggs are ready, like they have to fill up (with eggs) , then lay, fill up, then lay and so on, regardless if they are fertile...you can feed her more to fatten her up to get a bigger ooth...but she will lay ooths in consistant time intervals, if conditions are the same...

3 ooths in 3 weeks, wow, that's some serious ooth laying. What species did you say she was?

Congrats, sounds like you are going to have alot of babies running around.
