Antheraea Yamamai?

Does any member raise this special silkmoth or any other asian silkmoth? I have wanted them for several years to raise for thier green silk. I would let the moths hatch first.

well i've reared antheraea polyphemus and pernyi and there r a few things to note abt them

1: they can tolerate a wide range of temps

2: they can't be overcrowded

3: they eat a lot

4: they need to be kept very clean

The eclosion does in certain species

But not in samia, callosamia, and hyalophora since they make valves to escape from

Right now I only have mantids. I will be moving to a new apartment and will have plenty of room for moths. I will raise cecropias most likely. I have raised all the large ones except hickory horn devils and another I forget the name of.

I wont mind the cocoons being damaged by the moths eclosing. They are too beautiful to stifle. Do you know if I can find some pernyi? They are nearly as pretty but dont make green silk.
