Anti Bug Thingy

Haven't been on in awhile cause I've got no mantids, all of mine were wild caught but I have an ooth like hibernating and a cool assassin bug.

Um so my mom got one of those anti bug things you like plug into an Electical socket and it is you know, supposed to get rid of bugs and things so now I'm worried about having bugs cause what if they're like unable to Escape from whatever Exactly that thing does that keeps bugs away and they're like being driven crazy by the thingy or something?

So far I haven't seen that the thing is working with other bugs really cause it's like winter and I'd see less anyways right, so yeah I'm like not sure how worried I should be about my tiny mantids when they finally hatch. Thanks for any um any advice and stuff you've got to give.

Good news, mate! Those thingies are completely useless. I remember that all the hotels in Waikiki had them in the '70s and everyone who lived in Oahu knew that they were useless then! But don't tell yr mom! :lol:

the things are suposed to make bugs upset and run away, not kill them...I don't think that they work. at least my sister never leaves when I plug them in to make HER go away.

They do nothing. Absolutely nothing.

On top of that, they claim to drive away larger pests (rats) but not house pets (cats). Double You Tea Eff?

How'd you test them Peter?

And yeah the tiny book thing that came with it said how they didn't claim it helped with rodents but people that have used it said how it helped with mice and squirrels and stuff.
