I'm in northern central Jersey, about 15 min. away from Newark airport, but I have a lot of forests in my area since my town isn't like Newark.

spider species?

anything else that might be worth catching and offering for trades or people who enjoy taking pictures? I caught 5 diff. species of spiders yesterday, and all of them look siiiick! I wish I had an awesome camera to capture their close-up details!

Go south, young man (that's a quotation!) to the New jersey Pine Barrens, I'm sure that you've heard of them First, though, go to Amazon and search for books by Howard P. Boyd RIP. He wrote a number of books on the barrens and was very fond of tiger beetles, which should sell well. I'm sure that a little research in your local public library will turn up books on NJ entomology that the rest of us may not know about.

thanks man, yeah I took a course "Natural History of New Jersey" for fun. My class and I took day trips every Saturday, it was an awesome class. We visited the Pine Barrens, Great Swamp, and a few other places.

Hey man, could you give me your friend's email? I would love to catch some bugs for ya man, if it can help you out!

no idea... just yet!!!! ;)

i am going bug hunting soon, probably next week. today might have been a good day since it was in the low 60's, the bugs should have been tired and lazy... but not sure, if i could find certain species that go under ground... i will be going every day, finding more and more cool little critters lol. i'll post pix once i have a good camera
