This is a moderatly large millipedes species known only from the southern Lake Wales region in a portion of two counties located in Florida. It is a well-researched species becuase it just happens to be very common (or at least was very common till they stopped watering their lawns for environmental concerns) around the Archbold research station located in the area. I acquired a male Floridobolus species from Ocala which has never been documented from there and I've been trying to locate a penneri for comparison with no luck. Anybody familiar or in the area?
