I keep most of my sling, juvenile, and male arboreals in 32 oz deli cups with vented lids for easy maintenance and to save space, but I usually keep adult females in larger containers that hold at least 2 gallons of volume. I haven't had any adult females in a while since all my most recent purchases have proven to be males, but a simple, well-ventilated enclosure with some substrate to hold moisture and increase humidity, a water bowl, and a long piece of cork bark resting against the side of the glass or a cork tube works well. You can include living or fake plants, but your arboreals will most likely web all over it and kill your living plants and obscure your fake ones.
The simplest enclosures tend to be easiest to maintain and cluttered enclosures make it more difficult to feed the the tarantulas by giving their prey more spaces to hide in. This could be dangerous if you're using prey items that can then turn on your tarantula when it's molting or recently molted.
