Just fed one of my 5 day old mantids. That one is the size of a penny. Actually, I think that one's a female (chinese?). But I'm new to this.
The pic on the right (two miinutes later) shows the head of the fly in his right hand, and the body in the left ( it looks way out there, cuz she's holding it by a leg)
I think it's cool to watch because mostly (right now anyway) they eat a hole in the neck, and then eat from the inside out (usually the brain first).
I even have a some short clips, if you're interested. Nothing too amazing.
