Black legs

Patty has a black leg stump that is very uncomfortable. She tries to chew it but cant reach and ends up chewing her blanket.

I want to remove it for her but am not sure about sterolizing it after. Honey does not help. Has anyone used Neosporin? She will not be able to reach it so she won't ingest it. Alcohol is out.

cant hurt to try, you could clean sissors and remove it for her.

If you can cut above the black I would snip and then try a dab of super glue to close the wound and keep bad things out. Perhaps a liquid bandage might be worth a shot since they have antiseptics. I'm not sure how that would reacti wth a bug. Since you are safe from her ingesting it though it might be worth a try. I would still top it with some super glue to make sure you got a nice perminent barier.
