Black Soldier Flies for food

Is there any problem with feeding either the Black soldier flies larva or the adults as food for my mantis?

I just tried using the flies for the first time with my spiny flowers last week and they were fine.

I have had mixed reviews....many times my mantises have taken them with out trouble, but a few times they have gotten sick...and never do I feed the larvae...they don't even eat it sometimes.

Some brave babies L3's D lobatas take them, and Stagmomantis carolinas and floridensis love them. Phyllocrania paradoxa have a feast, and is great fun watching them catching them in mid air.
