I recently was feeding my adult female H. Maj and noticed very very dark black markings on the interior of both raptorials. Does anyone have a threat pose of this species or can tell me if the spot is a health concern or a marking of the species? I think it's a marking because both sides are similar if not identical but what do you think. Sorry for the pic. Iam definitely gonna need a camera. :)

Also she is not housed in the deli cup. She has a big ol' net enclosure all to herself. I had opened the zipper to give her the grasshopper and she literally climbed in the cup after the hopper. Lol

As it has already been said, these markings are characteristic of the species...but what is sort of interesting is that they are sort of dusty....like they have a coating on them, but if you like take a wet cotton swab and gently rub them, when it dries...you end up with a shiny/glossy look....a beautiful dark blue...

Really? How does one do this? She's a bit fast and ferocious with her raptorials lol
