I like taking pre-orders for a good reason. More people I get on the list, more you and I save on costs.

Blue bottle flies are half inch flying buzzing flies that stimulate pet frogs, lizards, mantids, spiders, etc. from their vibrating wings and movement.

I recommend using the powdered bee pollen to "dust" the flies with. Simply put container of flies in the fridge for 30 minutes, and toss some of the powdered bee pollen in the container, and while they are still in the container, spin the container in a circular motion for 10 seconds. I pack a baggy of bee pollen powder FREE of charge with every order of blue bottle flies!

Depending on how many folks I get on the group buy list, depends on the price you pay.

Here are the prices right now, and the prices may change considering how many people get in on the group buy.

Cup of 150 BB flies - $1.70

Cup of 300 BB flies - $3.25

Cup of 600 BB flies - $6.15

Cup of 1200 BB flies - $11.99

Cup of 2,400 BB flies - $21.99

Cup of 4,800 BB flies - $41.00

Want more? Ask for discounts!!!!

Keep in mind, prices may very well get lowered soon, due to high demand.

Hey Brii,

Did you mean put the flies in the fridge for 30 seconds or 30 minutes? o_0

I think 30 mins will definately kill the flies, 30 seconds to 1 minute will stun them though.

Have you TRIED knocking Blue Bottles out? Those suckers are tough! He MAY have meant 30 minutes in the fridge! I usually have to leave them in the freezer for a good 3 minutes or more & even then, they start coming back to life after only 30 seconds or so! (I have my tricks to keep them out longer, though! ...Start reading from W's biography, or a nice hot toddy with some Jack.) ;) :p

YEah - in my glass bottles, I have to keep them for over 5 minutes just to slow em down. I've left them for probably close to 30 minutes and they still recovered.

I stand corrected!! LOL. That's WILD!! I usually throw my flyin insects in the fridge for just a few seconds to get the job done!! You guys taught me something new today on BB flies ;-)

Actually my fellow friend you can keep the flys after they hatch in the fridge for weeks :) they can handle the cold temp I do take them out once a week to feed them and right back in :) well now the freezer thats 5 min and not longer as that will kill them they will freeze solid in there over 5 min I also find it easy to breed them in a 12x12 net cage with a mixture of moist dogfood with fish meal do this in the basement as the fishmeal smells a bit LOL its the first time I did it this week but there are already small maggots :) and thousands you can actually see the male flys breeding :) its just a safe way to assure always having stock :)

Brian ,I will in the near future.I know that is not much help right now,but i will need them on a monthly basis.REcieving L2 ghost nymps next week so will be needing them fairly soo. This level of mantis care is new to me.

I finally got these suckers in lol, to the people who already paid, they'll be at your door Wed. Thanks! Happy Holidays to all you good folks on this rocking forum!!

It's already been done, Brian! Scientists call them hummingbirds and mantids love 'em!

Lots of videos, as you probably know. E.g.:

lol alright people, this is a classifieds ad!!! LOL

I might get into button quail hatchlings, these tiny birds look like good feeders, although the mess would be pretty gross considering the veins, blood, bone, etc... :(

I'd like to find a better bumble bee distributor, I'm not trying to spend $.60 cents per bumble bee, that is mad money! lmao

Anybody know where I could get bumble bees, cheaper than a nickle per bee, let me know!!! I'll start to buy 2,500 at a time, for sure. lol
