Has anyone experienced that the female stopped calling after the first ooth was laid? None of my male budwings are showing any interest since she laid her first ooth. I just introduced one of my males and she flared her wings.

Some females need time after laying, all need a few days after, some need more than that and the males know she will eat them if they try.

Well, that was a total fail.

As soon as he got on her and tried to connect she reached around and grabbed him. It happened so quick there was nothing I could do. Damn!!

Next time put some of that Hot sauce on the male, she'll learn a lesson or two! :devil2:

The only thing more fierce than a Adult female budwing is a gravid one. ;)

Haha. That wouldn't be nice. I keep a bottle of on my table at all times. I put it on everthing. Good thing I have a couple of extra males.
