So, my breeding isn't getting very far xD, male will gladly mount, but even after weeks of trying, fails proper connection. The ***** keeps trying to connect with the air -_-

 
Aggravating indeed, sorry for your troubles, some male mantids are just lost. Have you tried using a small dowel rod/stick to help guide him to find the right area? If nothing else you may be better off finding another male, as some don't ever seem to figure it out. :( Best of luck.

 
I have tried multiple techniques to get him to connect, but no luck plus finding a male of this species is now pretty much impossible.

 
Easily mature for both, I have gotten one connection with another female, but this male is a stupid xD. I have tried the open room technique, high temp technique, fan technique etc. He hops on fine, but seemingly cannot figure out the important part xD

 
Well at least your female is patient with him so far if he is still around making all the wrong moves. If he was the one that made the connection before, hopefully he can figure it out at least one more time.
