So last night my little brother was trying to close one of my mantids cage (I only know it was him because my mom was supervising him.. She didnt think to consult the actual owner..) and it slipped, or so Im told, and now hes missing one of his legs, and the other is sort of hanging limply with fluid beading on it.
Is there anything I can do for him or to help him with his leg? He's an l5 male, but I dont know when his next molt will be..

Aww. Sorry to hear that. :(

Often, this can occur because the mantis in on the top of the same enclosure that is being closed.

I force my children (as well as myself) to utilize a side entrance. This tends to decrease the likelihood that a mantis will get injured or maimed.

I don't have any honey in house right now. :( Is there any subsitute I can use?

And yeah, Jay. Thats what happened. :/ Theyre both in 32 oz cups right now because they're really tiny.
