I talked to some of you about my new Ghost's foreleg appearing stuck open. Here are some pics although they are via iPhone and not best quality but you can see his front left is turned out.

He still seems to be able to sit appropriately

When he walks he doesn't use it at all

He still jams pretty fast, though!

I tried to hand feed him yesterday and he batted at them and refused. He is still able to climb and hang upside down. I even put him in a deli cup with several fruit flies and he didn't eat a single one. Any thoughts? How do I help him? Iam hoping the molt fixes it but am worried about him not eating. :-(

Sometimes an injury from a mismolt can affect appetite eventually being the cause of the mantids demise. Keep tying to hand feed and give it plenty of water to drink. Keep some fruit flies in it's enclosure with it. Ff's wont hurt it in case it starts to molt.

when i am having trouble hand feeding my ghost i let her hand upside down from my hand and restrict the movement of the feeder and my ghost has always(so far) excepted the food. sometimes i let her start nibbling on the feeders leg and that gets her to eat all of it
