I have six ooths from a wild caught brunners mantis. Ive had them for over a month and nothing has hatched. Can they hatch of the floor? any thing the eggs need?
They shouldn't need a cold period since they are found in FL. They can take months to hatch, you may need to wait much longer. Not sure what you mean about the floor but they need to be above the ground just like any mantis. I've heard up to six months before they hatch.
Yes, like Rick said these are slow hatchers. Not only does it take a while for them to get started but they tend to trickle out slowly once they start hatching over a period of weeks/months. Don't loose hope this early in the game. =3
